President Vilas Dhar
As a technologist, lawyer and human rights advocate, Vilas Dhar’s career has been dedicated to advancing the intersection of technology and social impact. He believes data and AI can be used for social good and that those affected by technology should be included in its design and application. He can offer expertise and insight on several timely topics such as the urgency of developing ethical AI, the role of philanthropy in the development of tech to benefit humanity, the disparate effects of technology on vulnerable communities, and building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive tech workforce.
Vice President Claudia Juech
Claudia is a forward-looking strategist, pragmatic optimist, and a builder of programs and organizations. She leads the Foundation’s Data and Society team, which works with nonprofits to build data maturity and capacity. Her career has focused on using data for decision making – first in the financial sector in Germany and at the Rockefeller Foundation. She can offer expertise and insight on the timely topic of empowering nonprofits to use data science and technologies effectively and responsibly to make progress on social and environmental challenges.
