Journeys: Data Practice Accelerators

Categories: Insights + Learning , Partnership Spotlights

The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation (PJMF) is committed to helping nonprofits unlock their capacity to apply data and artificial intelligence for a greater significant impact. PJMF’s Data Practice team strengthens nonprofits’ technical capabilities and data use cultures worldwide.

In 2022, the Data Practice Accelerator launched its support for ten nonprofit organizations focused on using advanced data tools and approaches to drive climate and environmental action. Throughout each partnership, PJMF’s Data Practice team guided the projects with technical support, training on advanced data analytics platforms, and data management best practices.

These nonprofits work from New Jersey to Honduras to India on environmental issues, including wildlife and marine conservation, land management, wind energy, soil carbon sequestration, and the impact of climate change on the world’s most vulnerable populations.

As we approach Earth Day, we celebrate these ten organizations as they reflect on their progress on their “data journeys.” Follow along on Medium for the first reflection starting Wednesday, April 5 – or join the conversation with us on LinkedIn and Twitter – throughout April.
