McGovern Foundation supports AI Innovations Prize

The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation is proud to partner with MIT Solve and Schmidt Futures to sponsor the AI Innovations Prizeas part of MIT Solve’s 2019 Global Challenges. Solutions that are propelled by artificial intelligence or advanced computing techniques to address any of the Challenges are eligible for the AI Innovations Prize, made possible by The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation and Schmidt Futures. The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and our global community through neuroscience research and information technology. Up to $500,000 will be granted across several recipients. Apply to any of Solve’s current Challenges to be eligible for the prize.

Anyone, anywhere around the world can submit a solution to MIT Solve’s 2019 Global Challenges by July 1 and access more than $1.5 million in funding:

  • Circular Economy: How can people create and consume goods that are renewable, repairable, reusable, and recyclable?
  • Community-Driven Innovation: How can citizens and communities create and improve social inclusion and shared prosperity?
  • Early Childhood Development: How can all children under five develop the critical learning and cognitive skills they need to reach their full potential?
  • Healthy Cities: How can urban residents design and live in environments that promote physical and mental health?
